What 1247 Collects
When you sign in, we receive your email address, name, and profile photo from your sign-in provider and store them with your account.
As you use 1247, we store the businesses you follow and favorite, your per-business notification choices, and — if you turn on notifications — a push token that lets us deliver them to your device (along with your device platform and app version).
We also keep basic activity records: which announcements and events you opened, notifications we sent you and whether they were opened, event reminders you scheduled, and any feedback you send us (including a screenshot if you attach one).
Why We Collect It
Everything above exists to make 1247 work: recognizing your account, showing updates from places you follow, delivering the notifications you asked for, and improving the app based on your feedback.
We do not use advertising networks, we do not build advertising profiles, and we never sell your information.
Location & Arrivals
If you turn on arrival detection, your location is processed on your phone. 1247 never stores your GPS coordinates on our servers.
The only thing our servers record is that you arrived at (and later left) a business you follow, with timestamps. There is no travel history and no map of where you have been.
Businesses only ever see anonymous counts — for example, how many guests are currently on the property. They can never see who is there. Other guests can never see your location or presence at all.
Location features are entirely optional. 1247 works without them, and you can change your choice at any time in your device settings.
Notifications & Devices
If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can deliver them, and we log what we sent and whether it was opened so we don't repeat ourselves.
You control notifications per business, can switch to on-site-only or off entirely inside the app, and can revoke permission in your device settings at any time.
Who We Share Data With
We use a small number of service providers to run 1247, and only for the purposes below:
• Replit — hosts our servers and database, and provides sign-in (which supplies your email, name, and photo).
• Expo Push Service — delivers push notifications to your device.
• Cloud object storage — stores images such as business photos and feedback screenshots.
• Maps — tapping a business address opens your device's maps app; we don't send them anything else.
How Long We Keep Data
Your information is kept while your account is active so the app keeps working for you.
Arrival records are kept for up to 90 days. After that, records of past visits are automatically removed from our servers — only a record of a visit that is still in progress is kept until it ends, and then it follows the same 90-day rule.
When you delete your account, the personal data described in this policy — including all of your arrival records, regardless of age — is permanently deleted, as described below.
Deleting Your Account
You can permanently delete your account inside the app: Account → Privacy & Data → Delete Account.
Deletion removes your account and profile, follows and favorites, device push tokens, notification history, arrival records, reminders, activity records, and feedback. This cannot be undone.
Accounts that manage a business are protected from accidental self-deletion — email us at 1247app@gmail.com or use Help & Feedback inside the app to close a business account.
Children
1247 is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region) to create an account.
Security
Your data is stored in an access-controlled database, transferred over encrypted connections, and sign-in tokens are stored securely on your device.
